A video about the Pharrell WIlliams talking about producers who use the same drums. The producer community went nuts and called him out on his BS. The Neptune made half their living from music in the early 2000’s using the exact same drums each hit song (nothing wrong with that. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.). I find it a bit funny because we as musician are inspired by something (like it or not it’s the truth). Example, Pharrell was inspired by Marvin Gaye when he wrote “Blurred Lines”. That inspiration was met with a lawsuit from the Marvin Gaye Estate. My question to you is does it matter if you use the same drums? Leave a comment below.
